The Love Trilogy was written over a course of seven years by Sebastian Michael. The first play, THE POWER OF LOVE, was shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award in 1998, but was snatched up by the Southwark Playhouse where it was directed by Michael Cabot. LOVE HURTS followed in 2000, when it was also longlisted for the Verity Bargate Award. It subsequently received a rehearsed reading and was workshopped at the Arcola Theatre, directed by Sara Murray. The trilogy concluded in 2004 with TIME AFTER TIME (which made it into the top ten of that year's Verity Bargate Award). Sebastian has directed his own plays ALL THE WORLD, SISTERS and EXIT on the London and Edinburgh Fringe; his first short film TWENTY-SIX TAKES ON LIFE WITHOUT ALLEN has been screened at film festivals in LA, Chicago, Lisbon and Padua, and his second short film THE STUDY OF BUNKERS & MOUNDS IN A TEMPERATE CLIMATE (RELATIVELY SPEAKING) received its London premiere screening on the 10th February 2007 at the Soho Curzon Cinema. sebastianmichael.net |
